A spokesperson for the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office said:
The Lord Chancellor, with the Lord Chief Justice’s agreement, has removed Sarah Gaskell JP from the magistracy for failing, without a reasonable excuse, to meet the minimum sitting requirements of her role. In reaching their decision, they took into account that Mrs Gaskell had failed to respond to numerous attempts to contact her.
