A spokesperson for the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office said:
The Senior President of Tribunals, acting on behalf of the Lord Chief Justice and with the Lord Chancellor’s agreement, has issued Tribunal Judge Gavin Cox with formal advice for misconduct. Judge Cox received six penalty points and a £200 fine for driving without insurance. In reaching their decision, they accepted the judge’s explanation that the offence was unintentional.
